Dozens of people lined the lobby of Center for Sight in Sarasota on Wednesday.

"We are giving free cataract surgeries to our uninsured residents," said Dr. William Soscia.

The eye doctor group performs one hundred free surgeries for those who can't afford the procedure. Patients must have an eye doctor's recommendation before getting the procedure.

Doctors will perform the next round of surgeries on July 19.

"This is what it's all about, we are taking care of people and seeing how grateful they are, so many of them are in tears and they are able to go back to work," said Dr. Soscia.
