Seven months ago three people died in a house fire on Sugar Lane in Sarasota.
"It's extremely tragic," said Carol Barth.
She's upset the wreckage from the home remains all these months later. She said she has contacted county leaders several times, but nothing has been done.
"I could see that there will be continuing problems until the house is demolished," sad Barth.
She said some homes are now getting a rat problem, because of the empty structure.
"They were living in the home and then when the fire started they didn't have a home anymore," said Barth.
Barth said she hasn't had any answers from the county in seven months.
On Wednesday ABC Action News received a call that the home would be demolished in about a month. A county spokesperson said a lengthy asbestos report held up the demolition. Barth remains skeptical about the process.
"I've learned that sometimes is difficult to deal with government," said Barth.
