20-year-old man busted for drugs while playing Pokemon Go at Sarasota County park

A Sarasota man was arrested on felony drug charges while he was playing the popular game Pokemon Go, at a Sarasota County Park. 

Guillermo Cava-Nunez, 20, was sitting in his car in Urfer Park early Monday morning when deputies in the area approached his vehicle because they smelled marijuana. 

Cava-Nunez told deputies he was meeting his girlfriend to play the game at the park. He allowed deputies to search his car which resulted in deputies finding more than 66 Xanax bars, more than 6 grams of marijuana, 2 grams of hash oil, under a gram of cocaine, rolling papers and a scale. Deputies say he admitted that the drugs were his.

Cava-Nunez has been charged with Possession of Xanax with intent to sell, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana/hash oil, possession of marijuana less than 20 grams and possession of paraphernalia. 

He is currently being held on $11,500 bond at the Sarasota County Jail.
