A Manatee County judge set a $100,000 bond for Rachael Leahy on Friday.

"Judge I can't afford that bond," said Leahy.

The Sarasota mom is accused of trying to hire a hit man to have her ex-husband, David Leahy Jr., killed.

She was arrested on Thursday after investigators said she paid an undercover detective more than $2,000 to arrange the hit. Police believe the motive was to get her kids back from her ex-husband who they were currently living with.

Garry Holloway is Rachael Leahy's neighbor he said she worked as a caretaker for an elderly couple.

"I don't know how she thought killing her husband, she would get custody of them that is kind of strange, I guess she thought they'd never figure it out that she was involved," said Holloway.

Investigators said Leahy also told the undercover detective that she'd have another job for him after this one because there was someone who owed her money.

The judge ordered Leahy to have no contact with her ex-husband if she get out of jail on bond.
