SARASOTA, Fla. — Detectives have located the suspect in a deadly shooting of a 17-year-old in Sarasota.
Authorities say 17-year-old James Griffin Jr. turned himself in shortly before 2 p.m. Monday in connection to the death of a 17-year-old male early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the 1700 block of Gregg Court at around 12:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they found the 17-year-old shot.
Griffin is facing charges of Aggravated Manslaughter of a Child. Police said he was considered armed and dangerous according to police.
