SARASOTA, Fla. — Sarasota Police is at the scene of an apparent drowning at the 10th Street boat ramp at Centennial Park.
Officers were dispatched just before 2:15 p.m. Friday to a call in reference to a man in the water. When authorities arrived, they found the woman dead.
Detectives with the criminal investigations division and criminalistics are responding.
The boat ramp will be closed during the investigation, and boaters are instead asked to go to Ken Thompson Park.
