SARASOTA, Fla. — A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in Sarasota on Tuesday night has died as a result of his injuries, according to Sarasota Police.
According to police, the crash occurred near the intersection of 10th Street and US 41 in Sarasota just before 8:45 p.m. The circumstances surrounding the crash have not been released but police say that the driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene and is being cooperative.
The pedestrian, an adult male, was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital following the crash and died on Wednesday as a result of his injuries.
Police are still working to notify next of kin.
No additional information has been released at this time.
