MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — A local community is getting together to show support for breast cancer patients and survivors.
The new nonprofit group, My Breast Friends 941, held a launch celebration at the Gold Coast Eagle Distributing in Sarasota Thursday. The group was formed to help patients in the area ease their fears as they go through a difficult and nerve-racking experience.
My Breast Friend 941 provides free direct services in the forms of grocery gift cards, meals, housecleaning, rides to treatment, peer support, inspiration and more.
