MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Manatee County School District is still looking to hire teachers.

The district says they've grown by 1,000 students since the 2019-2020 school year began. There are now more than 50,000 students in the district — a first in its history.
Despite recently holding a job fair to fill more than 60 teacher vacancies, the district says they still have 60 empty spots to fill.
