TAMPA, Fla. — Since the pandemic began in March, Feeding Tampa Bay says it provided 10 million meals throughout 10 local counties.
In Manatee County, Feeding Tampa Bay says support has reached an all-time high through mobile pantry and to-go meal distributions.
According to the group, 1,367,569.5 pounds of food was delivered between March 1 and May 22; 13,200 chef-prepared to-go meals between April 14 and May 21 and 1,654,276 meals delivered to those in need.
On Tuesday, May 26, Feeding Tampa Bay is launching its Mega Pantry. It will be open from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and will continue every Tuesday through June. It will be at State College of Florida - Bradenton 5840 26th Street West.
