SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies are investigating a shooting in Sarasota Monday night.
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a shooting in the 2600 block of North Tuttle Avenue in Sarasota. Deputies say the scene is secured and there is no threat to the community.
Officials did not say how many people were hurt or if a suspect has been identified.
Earlier in the evening, the Sarasota Police Department (not to be confused with the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office) responded to a different shooting at the 10th Street Boat Ramp. Officials did not say if the two shootings are related.
