City Council approves funding for Bradenton Police Department's fidget spinners

Fidget spinners will be used as a fundraiser

City Council approved a $2,000 budget for the Bradenton Police Department to purchase 1,000 BPD fidget spinners.

The fidget spinners will be designed with the department's logo printed on them. 

The spinners will be used as a fundraiser and community outreach item. All proceeds from sales will benefit the department's Explorer Program.

The Bradenton Police Explorer's program is a paramilitary program that attempts to instill discipline, professionalism, team work, and pride in young men and women between the ages of 14 and 21.

The program will use the money for competitions, trainings and equipment.   

The fidget spinners will also be used as a promotional item for the police department.
