A Holmes Beach vacationer saw something out of the ordinary and called police.

“He saw a man drive in the neighborhood, very slowly looking around,” said Chief William Tokajer.

Officers arrived on Palm Harbor Dr. on Friday afternoon and reported seeing Amando Zeppi with a car full of stolen goods. Officers said Zeppi had just stolen items from a home on the street.

“He had tv’s, a kayak, and golf clubs,” said Tokajer.

Officers said they also found a knife and marijuana on Zeppi. They said he became irritated and threatening once he was in custody.

"He threatened the officers family, said he was going to get out and have them killed, he was spitting on the officer,” said Tokajer.

Zeppi is currently in the Manatee County Jail on several charges.
