Three drivers reported being shot at by a BB gun early Friday morning while driving on I-75 near the Mendoza Bridge overpass.

"It sounded like some rocks hit my truck and I thought nothing of it," said Walter Drakeford.

Drakeford eventually stopped and found some small damage to the side of his truck.  His friend, Achille Marasco, was driving behind him. Marasco's side window was completely shot out.

"He noticed some people sitting on the side of road laying in the grass and their heads popped up as he was passing by," said Drakeford.

Another driver reported having their windshield shot out by a BB gun.  Both drivers involved said this incident will change their driving habits.

"I'm going to keep an eye out, when you are driving down the road you should be aware of your surroundings," said Drakeford.

Troopers do not have any suspects at this time. Contact FHP at 941-492-5850 if you have any information.
