The City of Bradenton is under a precautionary boil water notice until further notice.
Officials say the City experienced a loss of water pressure due to a power failure. The situation was corrected and pressure was restored to the distribution system.
As a precaution, City officials are advising that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or watching dishes to be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
