A 9-year-old girl was airlifted to the hospital after a boat fell on her in Sarasota, authorities say.
Fire rescue responded to Ken Thompson Park just before noon on Tuesday.
Sarasota County Fire says a boat fell on a 9-year-old girl, and she was taken via BayFlite to an area hospital.
It reportedly involved the Sarasota Sailing Squadron. The group was lifting a small child's boat, when someone lost their grip and the boat hit the 9-year-old's head.
The condition of the girl has not been given at this time.
