Winter Haven police are searching for two men captured on surveillance video seen driving away after a home invasion.

A woman heard loud knocking at her front door Monday morning in the Central Pointe subdivision.

She looked through the door's peephole and decided to ignore the two men seen outside.

They began to bang on the door so the homeowner locked herself in a back room and called police.

The suspects entered the home as the victim was on the phone with police dispatch.

The two men took her purse and television, leaving the victim uninjured.

"Whether we're home or not. Whether our door is locked or not. If they want to get into your home, we feel they will get into your home," said Barrie Reimer, who lives a few houses down from the crime.

He and his wife have started locking their doors while they're home. They're also considering getting security cameras.

A home a few houses away with outside surveillance video shows the suspect car drive down the street just before 8 a.m. The vehicle is described as a dark gray or black newer model Chrysler 200.

The suspects are described as black males in their 20s to 30s both wearing black shirts and with a stocky build.

The first male has a long, black beard with light gray skinny-style jeans. The second suspect wore black shorts and no facial hair.
