POLK COUNTY, Fla. — A man in Polk County is facing felony charges after stealing a pack of sausages by stuffing them down his pants.
Joseph Barber, 57, was shopping at a Dollar General store when he grabbed a package of Eckrich Smoked Sausages and concealed them in his pants.

He then went to the register and paid for his other groceries before leaving the store with the stolen food.
Store management called the Polk County Sheriff's Office when they watched security footage back and saw Barber stealing the sausages.
A deputy responded to Barber's home where he eventually confessed to the theft. Officials say he reportedly told the deputy it was, "dumb" to steal the food because he had money on him to pay for it.
He has previous theft convictions from 2010 and 2012 — which makes this third charge a felony.
