POLK COUNTY, Fla. — An Auburndale man was arrested after he showed up for work while a warrant for attempted murder was out on him.

David Lee Munroe II was wanted for one count of attempted second-degree murder with a firearm in the shooting of a 31-year-old at Munroe's home last week.

The man is improving and expected to live.

Deputies caught him almost immediately after putting out the 'Warrant of the Day' when Munroe showed up for work at the Cutrale Citrus Plant.

PCSO Central District deputies met him there and took him into custody.
