POLK COUNTY, Fla. — Polk County Public Schools is hosting several job fairs to fill bus driver and teacher positions.
On Oct. 8, PCPS will be having a hiring event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the PCPS Transportation office in Bartow, to hire bus drivers.
To become a PCPS bus driver you'll need:
- Driver's license (with minimum 5 years driving experience)
- Clean driving record
- Complete all PCPS hiring requirements
Those interested in teacher positions will have the opportunity to apply on Oct.17 and Oct. 24.
A virtual job fair will be held on Oct. 17 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Candidates will have the opportunity to chat online with principals from schools that are hiring.
On Oct. 24, candidates can attend Teacher Interview Day at the main PCPS office in Bartow.
A morning session for candidates interested in teaching elementary or middle school students will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. An afternoon session for those interested in teaching elementary, middle or high school students will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
