A Polk County man has claimed a $5 million prize playing the lottery's Mega Millions.
Bruce Amidon, 70, won the prize from the drawing held on March 10. He matched all five of the white ball numbers, but not the mega ball.
The winning ticket was purchased at Primetime Food Store, located at 501 Commonwealth Ave. Southwest in Polk City. The retailer will get a $5,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
The next Mega Millions drawing will be held Friday night at 11 p.m. with an estimated $96 million jackpot.
