Now Hiring: Polk Schools holding job fair and Polk Sheriff's Office needs substitute crossing guards

POLK COUNTY, Fla. -- If you're looking for a new job, there are two opportunities in Polk County.

The Polk County Public Schools is holding a virtual job fair for teachers on Thursday, June 18 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Polk County Sheriff's Office is looking for substitute crossing guards.

The locations for the crossing guard openings are at Lakeland, Bartow, Fort Meade, Haines City and Davenport. The substitute should be available to work for one hour in the morning and for 30 minutes in the afternoon when scheduled to work a crossing, according to the sheriff's office.
