Man dead after ATV crash with two vehicles in Poinciana

POINCIANA, Fla. — One man is dead after an ATV crash on Saturday.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said around 9:40 p.m., deputies responded to a crash on Lake Marion Creek Drive north of Pacific Road in Poinciana. The crash involved two cars and an ATV.

According to the investigation so far, the ATV driven by Carlos Santiago, 29, was in the grass and for an unknown reason turned left and went into the path of a vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle and Santiago crashed. The crash propelled Santiago onto the roadway and he was then struck by another vehicle.

Santiago was airlifted to Osceola Regional Health Center where he died from his injuries.

The two drivers of the car were not injured.

Officials said there were no street lights in the area and there were no signs of impairment for any of the drivers.
