They say medicine heals the body but music heals the soul.

"For a bunch of reasons that don't matter anymore, the release of this song was delayed a hundred times and put off, and it wasn't until Orlando happened that I realized that this was the reason why I hadn't released the song yet," said Lakeland Musician Michael McArthur. "It was intended for this moment in history, for this purpose."

Lakeland singer song writer Michael McArthur originally wrote the song Love Wins last summer after the supreme court ruling on same sex marriage.

He says following the tragic shooting earlier this month, he and videographer Dan Austin headed straight to Orlando to produce an emotional music video.

"I truly believe that love is the greatest force on earth, I believe it has the power to overcome hate, overcome evil," said McArthur.

The video which captures vigils the day following the tragedy hit Facebook last Friday, its now been seen more than 70 thousand times.

"My goal was just to capture as many different types of people that we could, gay, straight, black, white, doesn't matter, young, old, children, families," said McArthur.

McArthur says they also called on others all over the world through social media to provide their own images honoring the 49 lives lost.

"We received pictures and video from Tokyo, London, San Francisco, New York, Washington D.C., Australia, New Zealand, it was really beautiful," said McArthur.

In the end, the images produce a powerful video and a powerful message, that in the face of tragedy, love prevails.

"It's actually given a much more substantial and deep meaning to the song, my heart was in a good place when I wrote this song, but now its got a real purpose."
