Lakeland firefighters, SPCA team up for festive holiday cards

LAKELAND, Fla. — The Lakeland Fire Department and SPCA Florida absolutely sleighed this year's fundraising product.

This is the sixth year the two organizations teamed up to raise money and bring awareness to local rescue animals, but instead of a calendar, they created festive holiday cards.

Impawsible to ignore, right?

The cards are available in packs of five for $10 and include a bonus card that features Firefighter Santa Claus. They can be purchased online or in-person at SPCA Florida or the Lakeland Fire Department's Administrative Building.

Cash and checks are accepted at all sites. Credit cards can only be used online and at SPCA Florida's Medical Center, Adoption Center and Administration buildings.

All proceeds will go to the SPCA to make sure local animals in need get food, medical care and emergency assistance.
