FT. MEADE, Fla. — A driver smoking K2, also known as synthetic marijuana or spice, crashed a truck through a state representative's office Tuesday morning in Polk County.
Deputies say a 21-year-old was behind the wheel of the truck that came crashing into State Representative Melony Bell's office at 11 W. Broadway St.
Authorities say the man was a city employee driving a city vehicle at the time.
Surveillance video from a gas station across the street shows the crash.
The man reportedly admitted to deputies he had been smoking K2 at the time of the crash. Samples were taken by deputies and sent for testing. Charges are pending the test results.
Bell was not in the office at the time of the crash.
