WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — The pandemic has caused many people to go without food, especially the homeless.

One Winter Haven charity is going the extra mile to make sure everyone in need, can get a meal. Donna and Grant Piche are caterers and founded the nonprofit Restaurants Against Hunger.

After noticing more homeless people near their business in downtown Winter Haven, they placed a refrigerator filled with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and bottles of water outside.

Now the community has gotten involved, keeping the fridge full.

"This is just a small thing that we can do, but it's brought some of the community together to be able to come in and fill the fridge. They don't even need to see us. All I ask is that they make the peanut butter and jelly sandwich like they like them," said Grant Piche, Owner Catering Oasis.

If you want to help stock up the fridge or are in need of food, you can find the fridge outside of Catering Oasis, located at 104 West Central Avenue, Winter Haven, FL 33880.
