LAKELAND, Fla. — Crews from Polk County Fire Rescue responded to an accident involving a child on Monday afternoon.
According to Polk Fire Rescue, a child was hit near the intersection of Marler Avenue and Skyview Drive around 4:19 p.m.
The child was taken from the scene by helicopter to a nearby hospital
Authorities have not released the age or condition of the child.
