A porn star, paralegal, and worker for Habitat for Humanity are among the 19 people arrested in a major drug ring in Polk County.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said his deputies worked in conjunction with the Lakeland Police Department and the FBI for more than seven months, tracking down the suspects.

Detectives seized more than five mounds of cocaine and more than 225-thousand dollars in cash.

"You will see that he has been living large with his drug dealing," said Sheriff Grady Judd, speaking about Shawn  Bordeaux, the accused ring leader of the operation.

Among his dealers is Nicole Dennis of Lakeland. When she was arrested she told deputies she makes most of her money as a porn star.

Her neighbors watched as a SWAT team swarmed into her apartment earlier this week.

"I need my baby to grow up in a nice neighborhood," said the woman, who didn't want to give her name.

Detectives said the bust has already made a significant impact on the supply of cocaine in Lakeland.

According to investigators, some users are even stressing about it on social media.

Perhaps the best news for families is the ripple effect this bust will have on other crime.

"We know that they were stealing, that they were robbing that they were committing all kinds of theft to get money to buy this drug," Judd said.
