A 23-year-old Palm Harbor woman was arrested on Saturday, July 30 after she reportedly barricaded a child in a bedroom for over 9 hours.

Brianne Marie Gillooly has been charged with neglect of a child after a child was found wandering around outside of her residence just after 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Gillooly told police she left the child in his bedroom from 11 p.m. on Friday, July 29 until she was contacted by police at approximately 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Police say the child was left without food and water and wasn't under any supervision for over 9 hours. The child was in a room that was barricaded with a small couch and a large dog crate to keep the child in the bedroom while Gillooly was gone.

Upon arrival, police found urine and feces from a small dog throughout the house. The child was not injured during the time he was left alone.

According to the Pinellas County Jail, Gillooly posted her $2,000 bond on Saturday, July 30 at approximately 5:23 p.m.
