PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — A Treasure Island family is looking for their missing 202-pound St. Bernard that was possibly stolen from their home on Monday.

Logan is a seven-year-old St. Bernard that needs special care because of his size.

The family said they filed a police report with the Treasure Island  Police Department on Monday because they believe someone went in through an unlocked back door of their home to take the dog.

William O'Shea said that the family has raised the reward to bring Logan home, to $2,500.00 and they have officially hired a pet detective as of Friday.

O'Shea tells ABC Action News they worry that someone has seen Logan out and about and targeted their home for the purebred dog.

"Whoever's got him, if they don't understand how to take care of a St. Bernard, he could be suffering," said O'Shea.

O'Shea said Logan can only be outside for a short time because of his weight, and hair. He also has special meals he eats and needs to be in a certain temperature inside with an air conditioner.

The family says they just want Logan back, with no questions asked.
