Video: Boat catches fire in John's Pass Marina, injuring two people

MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. — Two people suffered burns after a boat caught fire in John's Pass Marina Friday afternoon.

Treasure Island Fire Chief William Barrs said the fire department is currently working the fully-involved boat fire.

While it is unknown how many people were on the boat or what caused the fire, Barrs said two people suffered first and second-degree burns. They did not go to the hospital.

Authorities say the boat caught fire shortly after is was re-fueled.

Dylan Hubbard of Hubbard’s Marina in Madeira Beach shared video with ABC Action News, which showed smoke coming from the boat.
