PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. --- St. Petersburg police are asking for the public's help locating the suspect who vandalized dozens of parking meters on Friday. This is the second time this week the meters have been vandalized.
Police said 26 parking meters were sprayed with foam sealant in the 400 block of Central Ave. The incident caused an estimated $10,000-$12,000 of damage, including the parts and labor.
Several of the machines were damaged beyond repair and many required extensive maintenance to clean and repair.
Police said the first incident happened on Oct. 27 in the 600 block of Central Ave. There were a total of 27 meters damaged.
