ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The teens walked into the tech company a little unsure and somewhat nervous.

But soon enough, they were smiling and learning how to impress in the workforce.

The friendship between St. Pete’s PowerChord and the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast is a beautiful thing.

“We have a chance to make an impact,” says Lanny Tucker, CEO of PowerChord.

Tucker's company creates and syncs custom websites for major companies.

The dozen-plus kids learned about interview skills, teamwork, marketing and branding. PowerChord employees have also visited the Boys & Girls Clubs as well.

The mentorship will continue to grow.

The teens have big dreams, but many do not have the resources to achieve them. PowerChord is hoping to change that.

“We can influence their careers, their lives,” says Tucker.
