ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Police in St. Pete are asking for help identifying the vehicle involved in a deadly shooting earlier this month.
Jason Carr, 24, was killed early on the morning of Dec. 9 after a shooting in the 2500 block of 25th Avenue North.
"He was very generous he was outgoing he was a smiley guy," said his father, also named Jason Carr.
Police say Carr was found by responding officers. He was taken to Bayfront Hospital in critical condition where police say he died from his injuries.
The SUV seen in the video dropped off the suspect before the shooting and was seen leaving the area after it, according to the police department.
Investigators believe Carr had just arrived to work when it occurred.
"We don’t have a motive, everything’s on the table right now. We just really don’t know why he was targeted but clearly he was the target," said St. Petersburg Police PIO Yolanda Fernandez.
Now a cross sits outside the roofing company where Carr worked, marking the life cut short.
"I want people to be brought to justice obviously they killed my kid and for no good reason," said his father.
Carr's funeral will be open to the public and is scheduled for Dec. 21 at Memorial Park.
Authorities say the investigation is active and on-going. They're asking anyone with information to call 727-893-7780 or send an anonymous message by texting "SPPD" and your tip to TIP-411.
