Report: Clearwater woman admits making up claim ex-boyfriend kidnapped, battered her

CLEARWATER, Fla. — A Clearwater woman is facing multiple charges for falsely telling police that her ex-boyfriend kidnapped and sexually battered her, according to an arrest report.

Tonya McAlpine, 43, told police her ex approached her at her job and forced himself into her car, the report says. She said he forced her at gunpoint to drive back to an area near her apartment and then forced her to perform oral sex on him, according to the report.

Police say security footage at her job contradicted what she said. McAlpine admitted it never happened, police say. After her arrest she told police she made the entire thing up because, "she was angry" with the man, according to the report.

McAlpine has filed numerous reports to various police department regarding her ex-boyfriend, police say. It's unclear what those reports detail.

McAlpine faces three charges for false report of a crime.
