Registered sex offender arrested for trespassing at Pinellas County elementary school

SEMINOLE, Fla. — A registered sex offender has been arrested for trespassing at a Pinellas County elementary school, according to arrest records.

Herbert Saxton, 67, was seen several times biking in front of Bauder Elementary and on the school's property, records state. He frequented the school around dismissal time, according to the records.

Deputies with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office responded to the school after parents complained. The parents observed Saxton frequenting the school then found that he was a registered sex offender on the FDLE's website, according to the arrest report.

He was arrested on April 21 when responding deputies observed him in surveillance photos on the school's property. He faces one charge of trespassing on school grounds or facilities.
