Pinellas County Utilities crews have partially completed construction on a connection between two potable water pipes at the intersection of 16th Avenue SE and Seminole Boulevard in Largo. Crews will be repaving the impacted portion of Seminole Boulevard Friday and all lanes will reopen on Saturday.

A portion of 16th Avenue SE will remain closed as the remainder of the construction project is completed.

Utilities crews will continue work to connect a 20-inch and a 36-inch pipe. This connection will provide the county's Logan Pump Station with a better water supply to maintain adequate water quality throughout the system. A portion of the 36-inch pipe, which is the primary feeder into the pump station, was damaged during unrelated construction activities.

Pinellas County Utilities' proactive construction activity underscores a commitment to protecting and improving the quality of the drinking water provided to customers.
