PALM HARBOR, Fla. — Pinellas County detectives and the FBI worked together to arrest a 22-year-old Palm Harbor man on child pornography charges.

Detectives said the investigation began when a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. It was later learned that 22-year-old Gavin Brannon was in possession of child pornography images.

Detectives also learned Brannon was the suspect in a child porn investigation in Virginia and the FBI served a search warrant at his home for child porn.

The FBI and detectives said Brannon molested a victim several times between July 2019 and May 2020 while he lived in Palm Harbor. Brannon also admitted to photographing the victim and distributing the images.

Brannon was arrested and transported to the Pinellas County Jail on federal charges of possessing and distributing child porn.

Pinellas County detectives charged him with lewd and lascivious battery and lewd and lascivious molestation.
