Pinellas County Schools offers free food for all kids

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — All kids in Pinellas County that are 18 or younger will be able to get free meals and snacks starting on Thursday.

Pinellas County Schools says its taking part in the USDA's Free School Meal Program until the end of the school year. The meals are available to all students in the MyPCS Online Learning Option and children not enrolled in the district.

  • Meals will be available to all children or teenagers in Pinellas County, 18 years old or younger.
  • Meals will be distributed at 30 schools each Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. starting Thursday, October 29, 2020.
  • Children do not need to be enrolled in PCS schools or be present for pickup.
  • Pinellas parents will pick-up seven days’ worth of meals – breakfast, lunch, PM snack and dinner
  • No ID is required
  • Meals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Amounts available will be adjusted each week, based on the number served in the prior week
