ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Police are investigating after a person is struck by two cars.
Police say the crash happened around 9 P.M. on 4th Street near 22nd Avenue North. The driver of the vehicle did not stop. Police say another vehicle hit the man after he was already on the ground. That driver stopped and is cooperating with police.
The victim died before going to the hospital.

Police closed northbound lanes of 4th Street between 22nd and 25th Avenues North for the investigation.
Officers spend several hours on Monday night searching for the driver that initally hit the man.
Authorities have not released the name of the victim.
