CLEARWATER, Fla. — A pedestrian died early Saturday morning after he was taken to the hospital following a crash on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard, according to Clearwater Public Safety.
The 57-year-old man was trying to cross the road when he was hit by a vehicle driving eastbound around 9:50 p.m. on Friday. He taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg as a trauma alert, but later died from his injuries.

All lanes of Gulf-to-Bay from Belcher Road to Old Coachman Road were shut down as officials investigated.
