Pedestrian crash injures St. Pete city worker

A vehicle struck a St. Petersburg city employee Tuesday morning in front of City Hall, leaving him in critical condition, police said.
 
Steve Wes Milliron, 63, who works in the city water resources department, was hit while walking north in a crosswalk on the eastside of Fifth Street North, according to St. Petersburg Police Department.
 
He was struck by Khadijah Moenay Herring, 19, who was driving south on Fifth Street North to turn east on Second Avenue North, police said. Herring had a green light.
 
Milliron was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
 
The investigation was ongoing Tuesday afternoon.
