A local community is making sure kids in Pinellas County who have opted for eLearning have some food to eat at home.

Tampa Bay Network to End Hunger (TBNEH) announced it will expand Meals on Wheels for Kids (MOW4Kids) into Clearwater in Pinellas County.

The program will deliver frozen prepared meals, fresh produce and shelf-stable food for families who elected to have their kids take classes remotely.

MOW4Kids launched earlier in the year and was developed as the pandemic forced schools to shut down. The program serves as an alternative option for kids who don’t get a chance to eat at school.

MOW4kids currently serves St. Petersburg and Lealman in South Pinellas County, Wimauma in South Hillsborough County, Dade City in East Pasco County and now Clearwater.
