ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in St. Petersburg has been arrested in Pennsylvania and police believe there may be additional victims.

According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, Anthony Sowell met a woman who was out with her friends at a local bar. Sowell and the woman later ended up at a house in the Tyrone area, where he "bound and beat her before sexually assaulting her," police say.

After the attack, Sowell called a ride-sharing service for the woman.

Following an investigation, authorities were able to track and arrest Sowell in Pennsylvania. He is expected to be extradited back to Pinellas County, police say.

Sowell is expected to face kidnapping and sexual battery charges, police say.

Anyone with information on Sowell or had any violent interaction with him is asked to call 727-893-4986.
