Man stabbed in St. Petersburg, MLK closed due to investigation

St. Petersburg Police are currently investigating a stabbing.
 
It happened around 12:30 p.m. in the 4800 block of Martin Luther King Street on Wednesday.
 
Police said a man was stabbed several times and was able to run into traffic screaming for help.
 
He was taken to Bayfront as a trauma alert.
 
A short time later, police located a man that witnesses saw running away from the scene.
 
MLK St. is closed in both directions between 49th-50th Ave. N. for the investigation.
