CLEARWATER, Fla. — The Clearwater Police Department is currently investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting from Saturday night.
Police say the shooting happened around 7 p.m. while officers were responding to a disturbance call on LaSalle Street.
According to police, they were called around 6:30 p.m. to reports of a man waving a gun in a threatening manner. Officers responded and circled the area, but were unable to locate the man.

Around 7 p.m. they received information that the same man was near the original call location. They responded and say they found 39-year-old Bryan Wallace.
Officers say a gun fell from Wallace's waistband and he reached for it, despite their commands to stop. The officers both fired their weapons.
Wallace was injured and taken to an area hospital for treatment, where police say he later died.
Both officers involved are on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, which is standard procedure.
