ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Pete's Kayla Cox and Chance Ryan have a fun, funky idea.
It's called Lucid Vending, and the couple's quirky machines will showcase local art and merchandise from nonprofits for affordable prices.
"Nothing that's going to break the bank," says Chance, adding that prices for the items will range from a couple of bucks to about $20.
There are two machines ready to go. They accept cash and credit. Part of the appeal is giving exposure to artists struggling during the pandemic.
But now the couple needs your help.
Lucid Vending is looking for artists and nonprofits to provide the merch for sale. They're also searching for bars, coffee shops and tattoo parlors where they can install their, colorful machines.
"I just love how accessible it makes art," says Kayla, whose work will also be featured.
