An autograph signing session for Hulk Hogan cleared out this weekend after the building it was held in was deemed unsafe.

It happened Saturday at around 12:30 p.m. at Hulk Hogan’s Beach Shop on Clearwater Beach. People in the complex felt the balcony shift.

"A woman right at the front said she felt it and she heard something," Kit Elert said.

A large number of people had gathered on the second floor of the build for a scheduled autograph session with Hogan.

The building was evacuated by Clearwater officials. The building remains closed until the building’s owner has a structural engineer check the building and verify it is safe to occupy.

Business owners in the complex wonder if construction behind the building had something to do with the balcony's shift.

"It's my understanding a construction crew slammed a piece of equipment into the back of the building," said business owner Kristi Lam.

She said the timing of this incident will hurt business.  The businesses were determined to be structural sound and reopened late Sunday afternoon

"This is probably one of three busiest weekends of the year that we would have had," said Lam.

All the people in the complex got out safely.
