PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — Children in Seminole are getting the opportunity to meet their new favorite story book character.

Elliott is the real live horse that is now the star of two children’s books called, “Elliott’s Tails.”

“They love him, they smile, Elliott is their idol,” said Sue Greenberg, who is Elliott's owner and author of the books.

Greenberg has been inviting children’s groups to the barn to meet all her horses but said there was just something special about this rambunctious two-year-old.

“He was always a super star, he’s funny, hysterical, he’s a comedian,” said Greenberg.

Greenberg started writing fun educational books about him and won a Mom’s Choice Book Award.

“So, what I did, I made it all rhyme, there are real live pictures of Elliott,” said Greenberg.

The kids say it’s not often you get to pet, hug and feed your favorite character in a bed time story.

“My little brother really enjoys when I read it because of how funny he looks in all the books. I like him better in real life, I think he looks adorable in real life,” said student Theia Wert.

Greenberg likes to think Elliott’s good habits are starting to rub off on his fans.

“Elliot brushes his teeth, he takes baths, he goes to school and sometimes children don’t like to do that and now they do,” said Greenberg.

Everyone seems to have their favorite Elliot moment.

“When he puts on his pajamas,” said Ava Warner.

Whether it’s on the pages, or out in the pasture, there is no doubt Elliott is one playful horse that likes the attention.
